Circle of Concern, based in Valley Park, was founded in the 1960s by a handful of local congregations that worked together to combat rural poverty. The work continues. Today, they provide long-term and emergency assistance to low-income families in the Rockwood, Parkway and Valley Park School districts. Each month, Circle of Concern feeds hungry families through their food pantry and, on a case-by-case basis provides other financial assistance. Their hope is that by providing assistance through their food pantry, families can direct dollars they would have spent on food toward their housing and utilities.
Bethel supports Circle of Concern's mission. We support Circle's special drives: Back to School, Thanksgiving and Christmas Drives. And, throughout the year, we collect items for Circle's food pantry. Currently, Circle is requesting the following pantry items.
Please place your donations in the special collection bin in the lobby near the Circle of Concern barrels. Thanks!
